Tire Pressure

  1. Find the tire manufacturer's recommendation for air pressure, pounds per square inch (PSI), located on the tire sidewall.
  2. Remove the innertube valve cap.
  3. Take the PSI reading with a pressure gauge.
    • If air pressure is too low, go to next step.
    • If air pressure is correct, go the last step.
    • If air pressure is too high, let out air and repeat this step.
  4. Using a foot pump or an air compressor, add air.
  5. Check that the air pressure is within an appropriate range.
  6. Return valve cap to innertube valve.
